Cheri's economic stimulus plan....or tough times for tightwads

some of Tennessee's natural beauty

Step one: Sell your house.
Step two: Buy a new house.
Step three: Leave your old furniture at your old house.
Step four: Buy new furniture for your new house.

If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know that I am not a shopper. Neither is Pat. In the past 12 days we have probably done more shopping together than we have ever done as a couple. We bought a fridge, a stove, a couch, a loveseat, a chair, two rugs as well as the little stuff: towel bars, garage organizers, etc., etc.

We still need to get a dresser and a bookshelf or two.

Remember a year or so ago when I referred to the Compact? People who joined the Compact were pledging to drop out of the consumption rat race. Just say no to buying stuff. While I never actually signed up for this, I did very little shopping prior to our move.

We have made up for lost time now. Ouch.

Just doing our part to help the economy.....

Thanks for helping the economy. We really need consumers like you to be out shopping! I really miss you. Bible is about to start...you are in my thoughts and prayers! Katie
